Federal " Cobra " Law: Under this law all employees are entitled to continue their health insurance coverage for themselves and their dependents when they are terminated, or retire from their job. Dependents become eligible for health coverage due to divorce or the death of the employee. Overage children or college graduates are also eligible for the health insurance of their working parent. In all of the above circumstances the "Cobra" eligible person is responsible for the monthly premium of the health plan in force. The timely filing and administration of this law is a very important and responsible task of each employer. EPC has been handling this complicated administrative process since the law was enacted.
